Op.Dr. Hasan Tekin

OPHTHALMOLOGY

Born in Seydişehir, Konya in 1971. He completed his primary and secondary education in Seydişehir, and his high school education at Konya Technical and Industrial Vocational High School, Department of Electrical and Electronics. In 1995, he graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa). In 1999, he completed his specialization training at Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology. His thesis focused on new perspectives in retinal surgery and solutions for diabetic retinopathy. He has published 12 scientific articles both nationally and internationally and has 26 years of experience. His areas of interest include surgical and medical treatment of retinal diseases, cataract surgery (both pediatric and geriatric), medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, medical and surgical treatment of strabismus and other childhood eye diseases, surgical treatment of oculoplastic diseases, treatment of uveitis and inflammatory eye diseases, medical and surgical treatment of lacrimal duct diseases, refractive surgery with Excimer laser, correction of myopia, astigmatism, and hyperopia with premium lens implantation (smart lenses), medical treatment for low vision, treatment of neuro-ophthalmological diseases, medical and surgical treatment of corneal diseases, medical treatment for ocular complications of systemic diseases, and treatment of macular diseases. He has a vide range of surgical experience, including over 13,000 cataract surgeries, over 1,500 strabismus surgeries, over 1,000 glaucoma surgeries, over 2,000 retinal surgeries, over 6,000 macular injection procedures, and over 5,000 other surgical procedures. He is a member of TOD Istanbul Branch, TOD Retina Vitreous Diseases Association, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is fluent in English and has basic knowledge of German. As of February 2025, he has started working as an ophthalmologist at Özel Lokman Hekim Esnaf Hospital.
