He was born in 1979 in Ankara. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2004. He completed his specialization at Istanbul Kartal Kosuyolu Training and Research Hospital between 2004 and 2009 and received the title of ‘‘Cardiology Specialist’’. He worked as a Cardiology Specialist at Istanbul Haydarpasa Numune Training and Research Hospital between 2009 and 2012, and as an Assistant Professor at Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine between 2012 and 2013. He earned the title of ‘‘Associate Professor’’ in 2014. He served as an Associate Professor at Mugla Sıtkı Kocman University Faculty of Medicine Training and Research Hospital between 2014 and 2019 and as a Cardiology Professor at the same institution between 2019 and 2022. During the 8 years he worked at Mugla Sıtkı Kocman University Faculty of Medicine Training and Research Hospital, he also held various administrative positions such as department head, clinical responsibility and education responsibility. He was deemed worthy of many national and international awards such as the TUBITAK publication incentive award, the Science Academy researcher of the year award, the best article and presentation awards given by the European Society of Cardiology and the Turkish Cardiology Societies. He has conducted many large-scale studies across the country. He has published nearly 250 articles in international peer-reviewed journals.
