How long does a FESS procedure take?

The process can take from 1 to 3 hours depending on the condition.

How safe is FESS surgery?

FESS is generally considered a safe method with little risk. In the literature, the frequency of minor complications is 5% and major complications are 0.1%.

Why do you need a FESS?

FESS treats chronic inflammation in your nose and sinuses that’s causing problems such as postnasal drip, nasal obstruction, and facial congestion. It can also effectively treat a deviated septum, nasal polyps, and enlarged nasal turbinates.

Does FESS help with snoring?

FESS may be recommended if other treatment options for snoring are ineffective.

Cautıons

*Avoid sawdust, chemicals, and excessive dust for 4 weeks. *Avoid straining, heavy lifting (> 20 lbs) and nose blowing for at least 10 days after surgery. *Do not take baths or showers for 24 hours.

3 days hospitalisation is needed and avoid airplane travel for a week after surgery.
